With President Juan Carlos Varela winning the 2014 Panama elections to become President of the Republic of Panama, under the Panamenista Party, came a new appointment of Ambassador of Panama to Singapore. President Varela appointed HE Alfonso A. Spiegel Aponte to the post of Ambassador and Counsel General. Ambassador Spiegel arrived to the Embassy on October 7th, 2014.
